First year Masters of Environment Policy students travelled to St. John’s, NL, on March 21st this year to compete in the third annual Environmental Policy Case Competition. Once again Sir Wilfred Grenfell Campus of Memorial University partnered with Policy NL providing students with the opportunity to experience problem-based learning.
This year’s students tackled relevant, difficult topics from a provincial perspective, each preparing a full policy cabinet document and an associated presentation. The Environmental Policy Institute, along with its students, would like to thank each jury panelist for their participation and contribution, as well as Mr. Chris Smith for organizing the event on behalf of the NL Government.
Congratulations to the “Food Security Team” team, consisting of Exodius Rutta, Laura Tanguay, Myron King, Ukachi Okpara, and Richard Nyiawung, for winning first place this year in the Policy Case Competition. All teams worked very hard, bringing strong ideas to the competition and presenting to the jury with enthusiasm. The Environmental Policy Institute would like to congratulate all that participated.
