Whoever thought that getting a Masters in Environmental Policy meant you would be bound to a desk job was definitely wrong!
Interning with Parks Canada in Gros Morne National Park, NL has already exposed me to a 9.5 hour hike up Gros Morne Mountain to survey Ptarmigans! While hiking I also had the rare chance to get an up-close view of the youngest Caribou I’ve ever seen!
In addition to my amazing hiking experiences, I have also spent time on the ocean surveying the populations of a variety of sea birds in the Gros Morne region…I can’t wait to see what July and August bring!
