May 25, 2026Zadok Kwame Gyesi is a multiple award-winning journalist, writer, and aspiring environmental communications scholar from Ghana. He worked for over a decade with Graphic Communications Group Limited, Ghana’s leading state-owned print media company, where he distinguished himself as a feature writer. His journalism focused on environmental issues such as fisheries, climate change, agricultural biotechnology, food security, tourism, and health.
Before joining the Environmental Policy Institute for his master’s programme, he worked as a Research Officer with the Encyclopaedia Africana Project in Accra, Ghana. In 2025, he was elected Public Affairs Officer of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) with a three-year mandate.
Beyond journalism, Zadok is a lover of the literary arts. He has contributed to several poetry anthologies around the world and regularly contributes poems to The Mirror, Ghana’s leading family newspaper. Zadok is a product of the Ghana Institute of Journalism, the University of Cape Coast (UCC), and the African University of Communications and Business (AUCB). Professionally, he aspires to become an environmental communications specialist who will contribute to humanity through teaching, research, and environmental advocacy.
