On Friday, April 3, 2015, Dr. Paul Foley joined an interdisciplinary and international group of scholars and practitioners at Yale University to discuss challenges and opportunities facing fisheries and fishing communities. “This workshop brings together some of the most interesting and important thinkers on fisheries and fishing communities today,” said co-organizer Karen Hébert, an Assistant Professor of Environmental Anthropology at Yale’s School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. “Their work identifies not merely the challenges facing fisheries at present but how these might be transformed toward more positive futures.”
