Darcy Aguilar

Darcy Lae S. Aguilar is a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Environmental Policy (MAEP) program at Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus. Born and raised in the Philippines, Darcy holds a Bachelor of Arts major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs from De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde – Manila. She previously served and gained professional experience working for a Philippine government agency, where she focused on policy and industry development.

Darcy is currently pursuing the thesis route (two-year MAEP program) under the supervision of Dr. Garrett Richards. Her research interests are environmental protection and sustainability, community-engaged and partnered research, and governance. She strives to conduct meaningful research that can help local communities.

Guided by the principle of “Para sa Bayan” (Filipino language; English translation: “For the People/Nation”), Darcy is dedicated to advocating for inclusive and collaborative policy-making.
