Hilary Sharpe is a current graduate student in the Environmental Policy Program. Hilary was raised in Paradise, Newfoundland on the east coast of the island. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Ocean Science and a minor in Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland St. John’s campus.

Hilary is part of the 1-year research paper stream and supervised by Dr. Garrett Richards. Her research interests include sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, parks and protected areas, and wildlife management.

Hilary currently works for the Canadian Coast Guard, and has previously worked on Atlantic Salmon conservation projects with Parks Canada at Terra Nova National Park. Hilary has a special interest in animal behaviour which she credits to her rescue dog, Henry, from Northern Labrador.
