Marie Lopez Cruz

My name is Marie Lopez Cruz. I am from Varadero, Cuba, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Economics. After completing my undergraduate studies, I began teaching at the University of Matanzas, where I worked until moving to Newfoundland in 2023. My previous research focused on market research, perceived service quality, tourism, and business management. I am currently in the second year of the MA in Environmental Policy program, where my research centers on Indigenous communities and cultural sustainability. I have a strong interest in business, community-based research, and sustainability.
