Valérie Lévesque-Martin

Valérie is Acadian from New Brunswick and has been living in Gros Morne National Park for the past five years. Her background involves education, species at risk monitoring work, community-based research, and science interpretation. Her thesis is supervised by Dr. Stephen Decker, in partnership with the Nunatsiavut Government and focuses on the Indigenous Knowledge involved in species at risk decision-making, by examining the case of the Torngat Mountains Caribou Herd. Valérie loves the outdoors, her cat Frida and exploring new cultures.
